We created Fabrik with one simple goal in mind:

Make it easier for people to use their digital media the way they want to use it.

So why has such a simple goal been so elusive until now? Because the only thing in common between digital media and digital documents is 1s and 0s. Yet, we still try to use tools from the paperless office to control the way we interact with our personal music, pictures and video. We were promised convergence, but what we got was collision.

Computers get replaced every few years but our personal media and the memories they evoke live on and on. Fabrik provides a way to manage and access your content independent of your aging boxes.

Personal media is, well, personal. So, while in the office world, a budget spreadsheet is a budget spreadsheet to anyone that needs to see it or look for it, your personal media files probably have hidden meaning that only you know about. For you, Fabrik makes it easier to find and organize your stuff in the way that you naturally think about it.

For documents, most of us sign a blood-oath with our bosses that no one else will see them. But personal media is like social currency - you gotta spread it around to make it worth something. Unlike the antiquated album sharing approach - again, back to the paper world - Fabrik's sharing and linking tools allow you to tell your story in your own way - whisper it, shout it or broadcast it.

We achieve the obvious, yet elusive, by blending. Blending the right features to give you a complete solution for your personal media. Blending the right technologies and cleverness to make it as easy as possible. And, blending gray-hair business smarts with youthful energy and a band of ninja developers that can code like no other, to give us velocity and nimbleness.

We hope that the flexibility of our solutions will translate into freedom for our users. Freedom to access your media from anywhere. Freedom to find and blend your media to your liking. Freedom to socialize your expressions through your media.
